Our Nursery Rooms
We celebrate our children for their brilliance every day.
We recognise that leaving your baby at nursery for the first time can be daunting. Our team, many of whom are mums themselves, personalise the care we provide to meet the needs of each of our families, to ensure each individuals experience is smooth and stress-free. You will be supported closely by familiar team members whilst we ask you to join us on our step-by-step settling in process, which is tried and tested to avoid tears (yours and your baby’s!). The team establish close relationships with each child’s family and maintain these as your child progresses through the nursery.
Our Roses occupy a ground floor suite which is homely, relaxed and stimulating. The practitioners, who specialise in working with younger children, plan daily routines to suit the needs of each individual child which include rest, meal times and a range of activities. These incorporate both indoor and outdoor experiences, such as messy play, story-times, song and dance activities and treasure basket exploration etc… The Rose Rooms have the capacity for up to 12 children and we work on a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 3 children.
Our Poppies, Daffodils and Sweet Peas are also located in rooms which are homely, calm and conducive of learning due to the small group sizes. Each room has the capacity for up to 12 children and applies a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children. Daily routines, including meal and rest times are planned by the practitioners to include a wide range of exciting activities for your growing child. These activities are experienced both indoors and outdoors and are designed to follow your child’s needs and interests and move them onto their next natural learning step.
Our team of Nursery Nurses specialise in working with this age group and so support and advise families as their child grows and develops through stages, which can be both rewarding and challenging at times.
Our Sunflowers continue to grow and learn in a relaxed, fun-filled and busy environment. The rooms remain homely and provide the resources necessary to extend your child’s learning further and to teach them the skills they will need for when they move onto school. The children benefit from participating in both smaller and larger group times, where a ratio of 1 adult for 8 children is applied. Our daily routines include child-led planning, for each individual child, to stimulate and challenge them as we extend their interests and expand their understanding of the world.
We provide a range of extra-curricular activities which include Forest School sessions, led by qualified Forest School Practitioners, as the whole nursery recognises the value of outdoor learning and being in nature. The children access activities such as using real tools, campfires, bushcraft and den-building, whilst benefiting from the unhurried Forest School ethos. The children also regularly access cookery sessions with the Nursery Cook, which develop a range of abilities including mathematical, problem-solving and personal, social and emotional skills.
We celebrate our children for their brilliance every day and this ensures they go on to thrive and succeed as they leave us to start school. The team are highly experienced in preparing families for this next step and will support you along the way to ensure that this transition is smooth. We work very closely with our local schools to make this experience a positive one for everyone involved.
Our Tots Group is held in the nursery every Tuesday morning from 9.30-11.30am in term-time. This is led by a qualified Nursery Nurse and provides families with the opportunity to access our amazing resources with their children, aged from babies to pre-schoolers. Families can enjoy a drink and a snack whilst their little ones play in our designated play rooms and sensory room. Why not come and visit us and other local families for a chat, play and a cuppa? Attendance costs £2.00 a week per family and we offer free car parking. Please call us or contact us through Facebook for more details.
Our holiday club runs flexibly for 4-11 year olds, during every school holiday, except when we are closed over the Christmas period. Sessions are charged at £15.00 for half day sessions between 9.00am-1.00pm and 1.00pm-5.00pm. Additional hours outside these times will be charged at £4.00 per hour.
